The spectacular Waterfalls Route through the southern Northwest Territories links five amazing waterfalls. Or travel the paved route to the capital, Yellowknife, past wandering herds of bison, grazing the roadside. Or starting from Hay River, head east along the shore of Great Slave Lake and south to Wood Buffalo National Park. You can also drive to the top of the world on the Dempster Highway, across the Arctic Circle to Inuvik in the Mackenzie Delta.
